Paul Nelson Farms – SD

Internationally acclaimed wildlife artist Jason Napier’s bronze sculptures are collected and revered around the globe. His famous menagerie became a little larger this summer with the installation of “Two Tales” – a bronze pheasant sculpture bench at Paul Nelson Farm in Gettysburg, South Dakota.

Paul Nelson Farms is an upscale, all inclusive hunting destination retreat. It is Orvis 2009 Endorsed Wingshooting Lodge of the Year and the Outdoor Channel rated it as the #3 Hunting Lodge in the World in 2010.

“We are so excited about this placement because of the specific nature of this piece being Ring Necked Pheasants and the bird loving audience that will be appreciating it!” says Napier. This limited edition artwork is only the second casting of a seven-set series being created by Jason at his studio foundry in Friday Harbor, Washington.

The new owners of “Two Tales” are thrilled with their acquisition, as noted in the most current Paul Nelson Farm Newsletter: There’s a pair of pheasants here on the grounds that are garnering an awful lot of attention. In fact, we think they’re downright cocky! You know we can’t ever do anything ordinary here at the farm, and well, this bench is extraordinary!  We can’t wait for this season’s hunting groups to sit on “Two Tales,” and tell their best hunting stories. In fact, we tried it out as a family just this past weekend. In our opinion, families and friends always photograph better with pheasants nearby, bronzed or otherwise! it!” says Napier.
