This charming Javelina family adorns the entry of a desert landscaped private residence in Scottsdale, AZ

The Javelina evolved in South America and migrated north, only recently arriving in Arizona.  Though some think Javelina are a type of wild pig, they are actually members of the peccary family, a group of hoofed mammals.
